Hosted plugin privacy

Updated October 1, 2026

What is sent

When you use the hosted RetireBridge plugin, scenario values and plan content in your MCP tool calls pass through ChatGPT or your chosen client to our HTTPS server on Vercel. These can include ages, state, account balances, income, spending, and modeling assumptions. Provide only scenario information; do not provide account numbers, Social Security numbers, exact addresses, passwords, or credentials.

Processing and storage

The server validates each request, executes the same model code used by the browser planner, and returns a draft, result, or exported file content to your conversation. Requests are independent. The application does not create accounts, persist plans in a database, write plan files to server storage, or log request bodies or financial values.

Vercel processes requests and infrastructure logs under its own practices. Your chat provider controls conversation and tool-call retention under your account settings. We do not control those providers’ retention. Review the OpenAI privacy policy and Vercel privacy policy.

Downloads and local import

When you choose Download, the widget passes file contents to your host to save. No plan values are embedded in website URLs. The Rest of the Road import page reads the file you select locally in your browser without uploading it. Browser plans are stored locally, as described in the browser planner privacy policy.

Control and deletion

Keep a downloaded backup if you need one. Delete your conversation through your chat provider’s controls and delete local files wherever you saved them. There is no hosted plan database or account recovery copy. The hosted pages and download widget have no application analytics or third-party scripts.
